Vacation Bible School

July 12 - 16, 2009

6:00 - 8:30 p.m.

Vacation Bible School will begin with a covered dish supper at 6:00 pm, Sunday evening, July 12.  Prepared meals will be provided at a nominal cost of $2.00 per adult & $1.00 per child under 12, will be provided on Monday - Thursday evening.  Classes will end by 8:00 pm. The theme for this week is  Discovery Canyon.

Discovery Canyon brings kids full circle with amazing activities, lasting friendships, and Bible adventures. Each day kids will explore the Word, make Bible connections, and collect critter friends – each carefully linked to a Bible verse and daily story.  The five themes for the week are:  Rejoice, Pray, Ask, Tell, & Seek.

All children 3 years olds - fifth grade are encouraged to participate.  There will be a special program for youth and adults on Sunday evening after supper.

Youth & Adult Study

“Being Christian in a Wounded World”

We live in a world which has recently been turn upside down.  Those things we thought we could depend on being true have been upended.  How does that affect us?  How do we as Christians respond?  How do we show our faith to our children, to our friends and neighbors, and to the world in which we live?  Come and explore ways that help us personally deal with these uncertain times, and, therefore show our faith to those around us.

Sue Arledge and Avery Dickson will lead the class as participants focus on three elements of Christian practice during the week:  Scripture reading, discernment, and testimony.  Make your plans to be present for this study.
