Christian Education

The Ministry of Education is one of instruction, guidance, and equipping for service.  It is the responsibility primarily rooted in the family, but enhanced, by the Church, through its varied programs, designed for this purpose.  The Session oversees this ministry through the Christian Education Committee, which manages the following program:

  • Church School for all ages - Sundays, 10:00 am, during the school year. 

  • Fun Program - Thursdays, immediately following school with Bible Study, music, chimes, bells, and fun for 1st - 6th graders.  Rising 4th graders and up have the opportunity to attend the Worship & Music Conference in Montreat.

  • Mothers' Morning Out - each Monday and Wednesday for children 9 months to 3 years old.

  • Presbyterian Youth Connection - Sunday evening programs, along with retreats and conferences, for 6th - 12th graders.

  • Camp Pee Dee - summer camp opportunity owned by the Presbytery of New Harmony with programs for all ages including an equestrian program.

  • Weekend Bible School - happens one weekend during the winter months with emphasis on mission.  Children and adults are encouraged to participate.

  • Conferences - Youth Conferences and Worship & Music Conferences are held at the Montreat Conference Center for children, youth and adults.
